Skart Designs

SKATE BASED furniture has been around for some time… and has taken a few forms – from a found object aesthetic to mid-century modern appropriation. Montreal’s Skart Designs was founded by Michel Poulin. He began skating in 1986 and in the late 1990s, he received a degree in cabinet making. Poulin’s duel passions are evident in the cabinets produced by Skart. While the shapes are skate influenced, the work is detailed and produced with gorgeous veneers.
