Mikael Johansson’s Final Majors

HERE IS AN exclusive look at photographer Mikael Johansson’s final major project that he’s currently displaying at the ongoing art show at University of Cumbria. He sent us over these photos of what he has whipped up for the show. Unfortunately for you, he sold out all six pieces tonight during the opening night.

Mikael about the project: “Continuing with the portraits from my last studio sessions my aim was to let the model take me into their own spaces instead of me bringing them to the studio. My work aims to question the photograph and different ways of seeing by portraying average young males. With their poses questioning beauty and life. These people are somewhat empty pages standing to face the world. My models are surrounded by their environment, cynically captured with what might be described as the only two things worth having: youth and beauty. The way you choose to read into the picture of these men and whom they are is based on your clichés and beliefs.”

Congrats homie! There’s more to be done!
